“‘How’s the weather?’ isn’t going to get you very far.”

“Don’t dominate the conversation but don’t be mute either.”

Q: Any tips on how to get the girl?

Lundquist: “I was just lucky.”

“She talked a lot and I listened.”

D. Herring: “Sing songs to them.”

“Learn love songs on the guitar.”

“Remind them often of what they mean to you.”

“Listen.  Let them talk and listen.”

Q: Any advice for seniors in a relationship going off to college?

Lundquist: “If it feels like work, it probably won’t work out.”

S. Hartmann: “There are no guarantees it will work but there is no harm in trying.”

N. Seward: “Each person has to be 100% committed, if not, someone will get hurt.”

Q: What should you wear on the first date?

Lundquist: “Always look a little better than the people around you.”

D. Herring: “Wear something casual and comfortable.”

K. Herring: “Don’t just wear a sweatshirt or be too informal; show the other person that you care about them enough to dress nicely.”

Q: Do you have any go to pick-up lines?

Lundquist: “I never had to use any.”

K. Herring: “Any kind of pick-up line is cheesy.”

D. Herring: “I don’t think it’s a particularly good way to start a relationship.  It’s not genuine.”
