Digitally check out books using the Libby app

Within recent years, mental health has been a focus for many as new information comes out about the importance of caring for oneself. One proven way to improve mental health is reading books.

“[Reading] is more than merely a distraction but an active engaging of the imagination as the words on the printed page stimulate your creativity and cause you to enter what is essentially an altered state of consciousness” Dr. David Lewis said.
Books can be downloaded onto a computer, phone or e-reader, but the price per book adds up to a dramatically high rate for many readers. Overdrive has developed an app to help make reading more accessible and affordable. Libby is an app where you can virtually check out books from your library. Anyone with a valid library card can check out books from their local library without any charge.
