A Variety of Viewpoints as Graduation Ceremony Approaches

A+Variety+of+Viewpoints+as+Graduation+Ceremony+Approaches

In less than a week the class of 2024 is graduating, everyone a part of it perceives and views the day a bit differently.

Some students don’t feel the day is as big or special as others.

“I don’t feel like high school graduation is that big of a deal cause it’s not that hard but college is a different story” Senior Jackson Woodburn said.

Others feel the day is an important milestone.

“It is definitely a big deal because we’ve basically been working towards it our whole life,” Senior Carson Libby said.

It’s a day most faculty and staff very much appreciate and cherish.

“It’s just the best day of the year because it’s such a monumental moment for kids. It’s so nice to see kids that i’ve seen for four years and to see them walk across the stage. It’s such a big deal and is so important, I just love it. I think everyones happy and I think it’s just the culmination of a lot of hard work and perseverance and everything about it is great” Dr. Steiner said.

There’s a lot that goes into graduation and a lot of different things to look forward to during the whole day.

“I am looking forward to after graduation when everybody gets together with their friends and celebrates on the plaza,” Libby said.

Something else to look forward to for seniors is the surprise bus ride after graduation.

“I’m really excited for the after party thing following the ceremony. I have no idea where they’re taking us but my guess is something super big because it was 150 dollars to join the party” Jackson said.

Even with everyone having a different view on graduation and different levels of emotion, everyone shares a common interest of being a spartan and celebrating that all in the same place at the same time.

The 2024 Commencement will be at 7:00 pm on June 6th at Pesonen Stadium.
