Winterfest is just around the corner! This year, Winterfest will be done in a different way than in the past, with new events, new dress-up days, and a new date.

Monday, February 23th:

Monday’s dress-up day is pajamas; during lunch, students can play bingo for the chance to win awesome prizes.

Tuesday, February 24th:

Tuesday’s dress-up day is Gym vs. Pilates. The annual Variety Show will take place during Spartan Hour on Tuesday, as well. The Variety Show is an opportunity for students to showcase their amazing talents in front of the whole school.

Wednesday, February 25th:

Wednesday’s dress-up day is Jersey Day. Come to school wearing your favorite sports jersey. During lunch, students can play an Orono trivia Kahoot.

Wednesday is also the first day of the Medallion Hunt. The Spartan Parent Association (SPA) will hide a medallion each day from Wednesday to Friday for students to find after school from 2:40 to 3:20. Clues for the medallion will be posted on the Orono Student Body Instagram immediately after school ends.

Thursday, February 26th:

Thursday’s dress-up day is Class Colors. Students should come to school wearing their respective class colors, as listed below:

Freshmen: White

Sophomores: Black

Juniors: Green

Seniors: Carolina Blue

Class Comp will take place during Spartan Hour. In this activity, grades face off in a series of challenges to see which one will come out on top.

Friday, February 27th:

Friday’s dress-up day is Neon. The Spartan Hour activity on Friday is Powderbuff, in which the juniors face off against the seniors in the annual boys volleyball game.

Saturday, February 28th:

The Winterfest dance will take place behind the bleachers in the mezzanine from 8-9:30. This is a great opportunity for students to have fun with friends and dance the night away!

All Week

The Student Senate will be selling lollipops and hearts throughout the week at lunch. All proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish
