Spartan Send-Off Week is happening now! Read on to learn more about the week’s events and dress-up days.
Monday, May 18th:
The dress-up day on Monday is ‘Made Me Monday.’ Students are encouraged to wear clothing of whatever activities were their favorite during their time at high school.
Tuesday, May 19th:
Tuesday’s dress-up day is ‘Blast from the Past.’ Students should wearing clothing reminiscent of when they were in elementary, intermediate, or middle school.
Wednesday, May 20th:
Wednesday’s dress-up day is ‘Senior Celebration’. Seniors should wear clothing relating to what they plan to do after graduating (for example, what college they are going to), while non-seniors should rep post-secondary clothing, as well.
Thursday, May 21st:
The dress-up day on Thursday is ‘Spartan Spirit.’ Students should come to school wearing Orono attire or anything else red, white, or blue.
There will also be a yearbook-signing event during Spartan Hour. Students can come outside through the doors by the senior lot after picking up their yearbook to eat donuts, listen to music, and sign your friends yearbooks.
Friday, May 22nd:
Friday’s dress-up day is ‘Comfy Day.’ Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing to relax before the big dance.
Juniors and seniors will remain in school until fifth hour, at which point they will be dismissed to prepare for the dance.
The Grand March will happen in the gym from 6 to 7 PM. Students should arrive no later than 5:30, and all spectators should arrive between 5:30 and 5:45.
After the Grand March, students can immediately head to the Metropolitan Ballroom for the Prom dance, which runs from 7 to 10 PM. The theme for this year’s dance is ‘Midnight Masquerade.’
