Update – Oct. 31
The girls soccer team won in the semi-finals on Oct. 30 and will play Mahtomedi on Thursday at 12:30 at US Bank Stadium for the State Championship.  The girls beat Visitation 1-0 yesterday to advance to the championship game.
Boys soccer finished third in State this morning in a hard-fought contest that ended up tied 0-0 with Holy Angels.
The State cross country meet is Saturday, Nov. 4 and we have a qualifier for the girls meet. Riviera Wock, an eighth grader, qualified as an individual and she will run on Saturday, Nov. 4 at St. Olaf College.

Results from Oct. 28
The football team beat Benilde-St. Margaret’s in the Section semi-finals 19-12 and move on to the playoffs. The boys will play the Academy of Holy Angels in the State playoffs on Friday, Nov. 3.

Results from Oct. 24:
The Orono football team beat SMB (St. Paul Academy/Minnehaha Academy/Blake) 36-7 in the first round of sections and will play Benilde-St. Margaret’s in the Section semi-finals at Benilde on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.

The OHS boys soccer team won in overtime vs. Worthington 3-2 in an exciting game.  They will play Totino-Grace on Monday, Oct. 3o at noon at US Bank Stadium in the State semi-finals.

Upcoming Games and Meets:
The girls soccer team will play tonight at Farmington at 5:30 p.m. vs. Rochester Lourdes in the State quarterfinals.  You can follow the game tonight on a webcast at PrepSpotlight.tv if you are unable to go to the game.

The cross country team will compete in sections on Thursday, Oct. 26 at Gale Woods in Minnetrista.

The girls swim and dive team will compete on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Hutchinson for the WCC Championships.

In other news, the OHS volleyball team ended their season last night with a loss to Buffalo in a hard-fought match.
