On the brisk morning of Thursday, Nov. 12, Orono High School’s very own student store opened for the first time in 2015. This year the store is run by seniors Samantha Norton and Piper Hennings. Both girls were excited to open the door for the first time.

“The store offers everything a student needs,” said Norton. They have coffee (french vanilla and regular), hot chocolate, tea, snacks and soda, and Orono apparel.

“The store is open 5 days a week,” said Hennings, and they open before school at 7:20 a.m. and close briefly at 7:45 a.m, but they open back up again for snack break.

Right now they are also raffling off two items that you can enter to win. “We have a headband and a Twins hat,” said Hennings.

The only thing both girls want to say is: “Follow us on twitter!” The student store account’s username is @OHSStudentStore. You can tweet them a request for a word-of-the-week or song request.

“Also come sign our wall,” said Norton. The store has a wall where students who have visited can sign their name.

So come support OHS and DECA and visit the student store.
