The Minnesota Wild need two more wins to defeat St. Louis in the first round playoff series. On Monday night, the wild won their second game, while St. Louis has only won one game. The fans in the Xcel Energy Center had endless energy throughout the game, chanting and waving their towels in support of the Wild.

It was a scoreless first period, and the fans were anxious for someone to score. Jason Pominville and Zach Parise both scored within two minutes of each other in the second period. Eventually, Nino Niederreiter scored on an open net for the third and final goal of the night.

The Wild held the Blues to only 17 shots on goal throughout the entire game. The Blues grew frustrated and showed this through the multiple fights that broke out. St. Louis player Steve Ott eventually was kicked out of the game.

The Wild dominated the third playoff game, and Minnesota fans are anticipating that their team will defeat St. Louis in the first round playoffs.
