From the Orono Communications office at 10:40 a.m. on April 24:
“Orono Middle School experienced a temporary power outage this morning. Students are safe, and the power is back on. As of 10:30 a.m., OMS will continue on its regular schedule. Parents will receive a second message is the situation changes. OMS was the only school affected because it is served by a different power company than district schools on the west side of Old Crystal Bay Rd.”
