According to the release statement by the Orono Schools, the lock down with warning, which happened at all buildings on Friday Nov. 30th at 1:50 p.m., was called when a staff member saw a suspicious person out on the high school football field. The police were contacted and removed the person from the area. The lock down lasted approximately 20 minutes, and was called at 2:10 p.m. All students were released on time and the lock down practices each school does proved to be working when need be. All students were and are safe.
