Floats were rolling down Old Crystal Bay last Friday as Orono celebrated its 61st homecoming. All four of the classes showed off their class float in all kinds of ways. This year’s freshman float read “Forever Young”, Sophomores read “S’mores”, Juniors read, “Jurassic Juniors” and the seniors float was not like the others who were on the were on classic trailers, but they came out with a boat! The theme for the seniors was the “Dark Knight.” The homecoming court was also on display during the parade. Fall sports teams made the walk also. Sports including boys and girls soccer, girls volleyball, girls swim and dive and the football team. Even though the wind blew and the sun didn’t shine much, the parade was a a success.
