Blueberries: Full of vitamin C, which according to Kelly Kochendorfer of Kaboose.com “is what your body uses as fuel when your heart is racing.”  Blueberries also have a lot of antioxidants that repair and protect your body from the effects of stress.

Almonds: Lower blood pressure and keep oxygen flowing throughout the body.

Spinach: Has a lot of Magnesium to keep your body at a calm state.

Tuna: “Naturally loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids that help your adrenaline from spinning out of control,” said Kochendorfer.

Oranges: The surplus of Vitamin C helps keep your immune system working well during stress.

Milk: The calcium in milk is a soothing remedy for anxiety.

Bananas: Bananas are full of potassium, which helps reduce tension.

Sweet Potatoes:  According to Kochendorfer, “these roots are a good source of vitamin B6, which helps support a wide range of activities in your nervous system and help give you a major dose of relaxation.”

Brown Rice:  Contains compounds that relieve stress and anxiety.

Avocados: Helps the body absorb other vital nutrients and also have vitamin E and potassium, which can help when your nerves are in overdrive.
