Garden club continues to grow throughout the school year

Spring is here and Minnesota gardeners are ready to kick out the planters and the soil. Rainy days are passing by and giving us the perfect nutrients all your plants may need. Orono High School students are finding a new interest in gardening as Garden Club helps create the spark.

Students with a newfound hobby pay 5 dollars to plant up to 6 plants of their choice, leave them in Kyle Ann Herring’s room under a bar light, water them, and then watch them grow. The student’s plants stay in Herring’s room until they are grown enough for students to take them home and help them grow on their own.
