Earth Club is a very interactive and fun club for students who care about our environment or students who simply want to learn more about how they can help save our planet. In the most recent meeting during spartan hour Friday, Dec. 6, the Earth Club members met to indulge in an eco-friendly art project.

The Earth Club meeting was packed full of smiling, laughing faces chatting it up waiting for the bell to ring to start the meeting. The leaders of the club, seniors Megan Craft, James Konkol, Micheal DiPrima and junior Ajalon Johnson had Tupperware full of cookies to share among the club members in front of the class. As all the students cut pieces of newspaper into ‘pedals’ the club leaders were reading the instructions posted on the smartboard in front of the class.

“Earth Club is all about the environment and how we can reduce waste on the planet. I joined Earth Club because I love the environment,” freshman Hannah Marik stated.

From speaking to the members of Earth Club, everyone is welcomed with open arms and will happily be involved in their activities and conversations.

“I’ve learned a lot about different ways to save the environment and making crafts in an eco-friendly way. I joined because my friends are in the club and I think it’s a lot of fun and I recommend joining,” freshman Louis Kramer said.

If you are interested in joining Earth Club, everyone is welcome. There is no fee, just feel free to listen for the morning announcements and show up to Mrs. Curtis’s room 306 and sit in on your first meeting and possibly begin your career with helping our earth.
