Exciting Upcoming OHS Sporting Events

Here are the OHS athletic program events in the upcoming weeks. Show your Spartan Spirit and go out to support all of our Orono athletic teams.

Saturday, Nov. 18

This weekend, the boys varsity and junior varsity hockey teams have a scrimmage against Northfield, Simley, and St. Paul Johnson at the Phalen arena. Varsity plays at 9:00 a.m. and the JV plays later at 12:00 p.m. The girls hockey team will face off versus Hibbing at their second home game of the season. Their current record is 1-1 with the first win over Cloquet and a loss to Hopkins. JV starts at 5:15 p.m. followed by the varsity at 7 p.m..

Tuesday, Nov. 21

The girls hockey  team has another game, this time away. They will battle Bloomington Jefferson at the Bloomington Ice Garden with JV starting at 5:00pm and varsity at 7 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 24 – Saturday, Nov. 25

The boys hockey have their season opener along with their first home game. They will be facing the East Grand Forks Senior with JV starting at  3 p.m. and varsity at 5 p.m. The girls basketball  have a invitational at Hamline University on Nov. 24 and 25. Saturday they play  St. Paul Como with JV starting at 1:30 p.m. and varsity at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday they play Eastview with JV at 5:15 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.

Tuesday Nov. 28

The girls hockey play Breck at home with JV starting at 5 p.m. and varsity following at 7 p.m.

Thursday Nov. 30

The boys and girls  basketball will play with boys playing Roosevelt and home and girls play Big Lake at Big Lake High School. The boys basketball C game will play Roosevelt  at the OHS gym at 4:15 p.m. with JV following at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m. and the girls B team playing at 5:45 p.m. and girls varsity at 7:15 p.m.

Then the  boys and girls  hockey teams have a game with the boys  playing  Providence Academy at the Plymouth Ice Arena and girls playing Chaska at home. Girls JV start 5:15 p.m. and varsity following at 7 p.m. and the boys jv starting at 5:30 p.m. and varsity follows at 7 p.m.
