For anyone interested in celebrating Earth Day and helping the local community, there is a clean up event promoted by some of the local businesses in Long Lake.

On April 22, there will be an Earth Day cleanup event in Long Lake from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join, to help in the efforts to make Long Lake clean and trash-free for Earth Day. The only thing that you will need to bring is clothes for the weather and a pair of gloves. Be aware that some of your apparel may get dirty while cleaning. All the rest of the supplies will be provided upon arrival including trash bags and water.

Meet at Lakeside Wine & Spirits before the event’s start time if you wish to participate. Also make sure to stop by afterwards to receive refreshments and goodies after the clean up. Bring friends or family to this event, the more people helping, the cleaner the community will be.
