Remembering Pearl Harbor

The bombing of Pearl Harbor is one of the most surprising attack in United States history. This attack was a military strike by the Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor.

The U.S. was not prepared or aware that Hawaii Territory was going to be under attack on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941. To remember the survivors of pearl harbor, many students have gone to visit the harbor itself making memories and viewing the USS Arizona.

“It was really sad to see the aftermath of the bombing. When I saw the pictures and parts of pearl harbor, it really hit home to see what people are capable of,”  junior Olivia Litecky said.
