March 19th, the Spartan speech team sent 39 of its speakers the Section 6AA tournament at Eden Prairie high school.  Many speakers broke to the final round, but 9 will continue to the state tournament.  To qualify for the state tournament, a speaker must have placed 3rd or higher in their category.  This year, Orono has more speakers qualified for the state tournament than ever before.
