Each year, the Orono High School hosts the Fine Arts Festival to showcase the outstanding talent of its students. Pieces are submitted from all the art classes available at the high school, including Ceramics, Drawing and Independent Art. Each student from every class is required to submit one of the many works they create in class in order to provide a wide range and variety of artwork for the public to view. The Independent Art students must provide several of their pieces from their high school art classes to put on display to show the development of their skills and the enthusiasm they have devoted to the arts. The Fine Arts Festival is a wonderful way to support the arts, and to encourage students to freely express themselves and participate.
