Tucked away at the end of the street from Axel’s and Bistro 11 in Loretto, this restaurant is not one to be ignored.

The Choo Choo Restaurant & Bar got its name because the bar area, with tables to eat at, is in an old railroad train car. Because of where the tables are positioned, one can even see the wheels of the car and how it’s connected.

This restaurant has a cozy home feeling with great staff and even better food.

Atmosphere is a big factor for a family restaurant like the Choo Choo to help people feel welcome. The decor is filled with reds and golds and the booths are a dark wood to compliment the colors nicely. There’s always enough room for everyone who comes in, and the staff is very friendly and will come over and chat like old friends. Not only is the staff sensational, but so is the food.

The burgers are some of the best in town and the prime rib is a major seller on Saturday nights. Their potato bar is another favorite, along with the delicious desserts like their tasty creme brulee.
