Friday Jan. 18th the Orono Girls Basketball team hosted their annual “Get your pink on” game. This year the pink out game wasagainst Glenco Silver Lake Panthers. The pink out game raises money and awareness for breast cancer. This year OGB donated the proceeds to the Angel Foundation. The Angel Foundation helps adults with cancer. It also helps their families gain control of their lives during this hard time. The Angel Foundation’s representative spoke during half time of the game. Also during half time, OGB had a pink paper airplane throwing contest, and the winner received free pizza. At the concession stands OGB served their “oh-so-good pink popcorn.” Pep band played at the game as well.
The varsity team won the game aganist GSL Panthers by a score of 53 to 36.
