Taking care of mental health in the midst of a pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic can be stressful, and Orono community members are taking time to understand the importance of mental health and what they can do to reduce anxiety, or to simply put a bit of normalcy back in their lives.

Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations, so getting a grasp on what relaxing or being mindful means on an individual level is important. For some, that means getting outside, reading a book, gardening or taking up a new hobby that requires focus and goal setting.
