Students of Orono High School honored those who served in different sectors of the military on November 9th at the Veteran’s Day assembly. One speaker shared her incredible story of going from a misfit teen into an honorable military vet.

In an interview with one veteran, Glen Ferdine, he discussed the importance of patriotism towards our country and the importance for a love of our country.

This assembly was not only important for recognizing the citizens of Orono who served, but it is also a significant experience for students who are interested in enlisting to learn more about the veterans’ experiences.
