Mackenzie Flynn, Visuals Editor
One word that describes Mackenzie Flynn is creative. Mackenzie is always thinking of new ideas, creating better solutions to any problem she faces. She is a visuals editor for the paper, making her ideas really pop through the paper. She edits and creates visuals for all aspects of the paper and is always open to suggestions to improve it.
Mackenzie’s greatest inspiration is her uncle Vince Flynn. Even though he passed away a few years back from cancer, he is influencing her everyday. He took what little he had and created something bigger and more beautiful.
When she isn’t working in school or journalism, Mackenzie enjoys working with horses. She spends a lot of time riding and tending to them, preparing to show them in horse shows and different events. Mackenzie’s biggest success comes from her horses, showing them at national events and placing third in the biggest event.
When she isn’t working with horses, she enjoys watching watching home remodeling shows.
Mackenzie joined journalism because her friends had already taken the class and said that they loved everything about it. She says she’s glad she took it because it has made her a better writer and reporter. She recommends everyone thinking of taking journalism to go for it and to not be afraid to express their views on the world.
