Starting out in a renovated gas station back in 1978, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield created one of the most legendary ice cream businesses in the entire world called Ben and Jerry’s.

On their one year anniversary of being in business, Ben and Jerry held the first-ever Free Cone Day. This means customers got free ice cream scoops all day long. 

Continuing their tradition, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream shops around the world plan on celebrating their 36th anniversary on Tues. April 14.

According to Ben and Jerry’s event page called ‘Free Cone Day 2015’ on Facebook,“Scoop shops around the world will be scooping out FREE ice cream from Noon-8 pm.”

Ben and Jerry’s have flavors from Cherry Garcia to their newest flavor called ‘Boom Chocolatta!’

“You’d better start thinking about the tough decisions you’ll have to make: Which flavor? Cup or cone? Who’s coming with you?” the event page said.
