Fawbush review on “Flappers and Fools”

In the original, humorous play, there are constant moments where you find yourself giggling to the witty banter going back and forth between the characters.

The play “Flappers and Fools” was written by Rick Newswanger, father of one of the cast members, Paul Newswanger. I believe that the casting for the play couldn’t have been better. The actors and actresses fit the roles like a shoe. It’s not hard to tell how much fun the cast has doing these productions. An example that brought a smile to my face was how during the transition in between scenes, I saw actor Jason Briscoe dancing while moving some of the set pieces.

Even though some of the humor would make the children laugh, I’d have to say that most of the jokes only the adults would understand. Even with that being said, the amusing play is entertaining and appropriate for all ages, and if there was another production of it, I’d recommend to go see it.
