    Holiday Sparkle and Shine

    Holiday+Sparkle+and+Shine

Photo/ Mackenzie Iversen Photo/ Mackenzie IversenThis season is a time for family, friends, and holiday parties. Dressing up every time, however, is not exactly what anyone would consider fun. So, make things easier on yourself by simplifying your outfit and making the focal point a little bit of sparkle and shine. Use these ideas to pump up an outfit for this season, and maybe keep it going into the new year.

For a family get together, like dinner or a brunch, try picking a shirt with a metallic design or even a few sequins and gems. From there you’ll want to attract attention to your top, so wear your hair down with a few pins. After that just pick out a nice pair of jeans, or leggings with a pair of nice, tall boots. Choosing skinnier pants with a pair of tall boots will elongate your body, which will give you the look of longer legs, and that’s always nice.

If a large amount of sequins isn’t exactly your forte then opt for using some simple accessories instead. Metallics, reds, and greens are the popular holiday colors, but don’t be limited by the normals. Using royal blues, and deep purple in a holiday outfit is fun and very trendy. Fashion is pushing the limits everyday, so changing up a color scheme every once in awhile is no big deal.

Whether you use a gem headband, or chunky jewelry, the holiday season is the one time of the year where glitz and glam is at an all time high. Use this as an opportunity and go all out however you want. Take a risk, but remember to keep it modest and simple.
