    Spice up a sweatshirt

For the many who consider winter to be the relaxation time of fashion, this one’s for you! Instead of cute sweaters or odd tops, sometimes it’s just nice to put on that warm sweatshirt. There are so many options that you can take advantage of to make a sweatshirt a little more special by adding specific accessories or trying some new ideas.

First, try adding a scarf to your outfit. The typical outfit would be black leggings or jeans, with your sweatshirt, but by throwing in a knit scarf you can add dimension. If the scarf is a contrasting color to the sweatshirt it adds in that fun winter wonderland feeling that is sometimes hard to come by. Also, it’s a simple option to work layers, and it’s also really comfy.

Another option would be working with a new hairstyle, or hair piece. Instead of the old-news messy bun and thick, black headband, opt for something a little different. On the runways last year knit headbands were being worn not as ski accessories, but for fashion. These can be difficult to find, so take advantage of it if you find one! They are so comfy and a cool way to change up your lazy days! You could even take it a step further and change the messy bun into an up-top ballerina bun. Use a sock or purchase a bun form and create an eccentric updo.

Although these are small adjustments, it may be all you need to or want to do, especially on the days when the alarm seems a little early. Toss in the little things, and it could make a huge difference, taking the day from PJ-day to fireside chic.
