Homecoming Week starts on Monday! Read on to learn more about the week’s events and dress-up days.
Monday, September 15th
Monday’s dress-up day is Adam Sandler. Students should dress like Adam Sandler by wearing baggy and comfortable clothing. Monday’s reverse Spartan Hour activity is Coronation, happening at the end of the day. Reverse Spartan Hour days see 7th hour occur after 1st hour, and Spartan Hour happen after 6th hour.
“It’s gonna be a good time [at Coronation],” junior Senator Peter Gagne said.
Tuesday, September 16th
Tuesday’s dress-up day is Stay Afloat. Come to school wearing swimsuits, floaties, or other aquatic-themed attire. The reverse Spartan Hour activity on Tuesday is Field Day. Students can go to Pesonon Stadium after 6th hour to play field games, spend time with friends, and more.
Wednesday, September 17th
Wednesday’s dress-up day is On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink. Students are expected to wear pink clothing. Wednesday has no reverse Spartan Hour activities.
Thursday, September 18th
Thursday’s dress-up day is Class Color. Each grade’s class colors are listed below:
Freshmen: White
Sophomores: Black
Juniors: Green
Seniors: Carolina Blue
Thursday’s reverse Spartan Hour activity is Class Comp. During Class Comp, grades compete against each other in a series of contests to see which one will come out on top.
“Class Comp has always been amazing, but we plan to take it this year and enhance it. It’ll be the best Class Comp you’ve ever seen” Student Body Co-President Eli Fish said.
Friday, September 19th
Friday’s dress-up day is Spartan Spirit. Students should wear Spartan-themed or red/white/blue clothing. The Spartan Hour activity on Friday (Friday is not a reverse Spartan Hour day) is Powderpuff, in which Junior and Senior girls face off in a flag football game.
“Our coaches are so devoted,” junior Senator Evelyn Rosha said, “The seniors don’t know what’s coming.”
The Homecoming Parade will happen at around 1:20 pm on Friday.
After the parade, students will go to Pesonon Stadium for the Pep Fest to get hyped before the Homecoming football game later that night. The Spartans will take on Westonka at 7:00 pm, but before that, the Student Senate will be hosting a tailgate party from 5 – 6:30 pm with food trucks, games, face painting, and more fun activities.
Saturday, September 20th
The Homecoming dance will happen on Saturday from 8 – 9:30 pm. Tickets cost $10, and they can be bought ahead of time on My Payments Plus. Students should wear semi-formal attire.
