The 2025 Prom Theme Is Finally Here—And It’s Not What You Expected

The 2025 Prom theme was revealed today during lunch.

The 2025 Prom theme was announced today during lunch: A City of Stars.

The theme is inspired by a song of the same name featured in the 2016 film La La Land. The movie, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, is a musical romantic comedy about two people in Los Angeles whose relationship is tested by their careers.

A City of Stars is sung twice in the film and explores a person’s aspirations in both love and their career.

Senior Henry Schafer played piano while singing the song before handing the mic to senior Zoe Lopez, who announced the theme.

According to order forms from the Student Senate, the dance, which is on Friday, May 23rd, will feature gold and starry decorations.

Tickets to the dance will go on sale Tuesday, April 15th on My Payments Plus, and Wednesday, April 16th during lunch.
