The Los Angeles Rams beat the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 27-9 in the Wild Card playoff round. With tonight’s loss, the Vikings are now eliminated from the playoffs.
The Minnesota offense was marred by sacks, 9 of them from the Rams’ explosive defense, and a lack of scoring from the offense, with Minnesota scoring only a field goal and a touchdown, but failing the two point conversion.
“We’ve got to find a way to solidify the interior of the pocket. … There could be a 1,000 excuses made, but for me, it’s the foundation of the interior of the pocket that we’re going to have to take a long look at” Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said in a postgame press conference.
The Minnesota defense was unable to contain the Rams’ strong offense, which scored 27 points.
Tonight’s defeat follows a 31-9 thrashing from the Detroit Lions last week.
The game was originally to be played in Los Angeles, but due to the wildfires currently raging there, was moved to Arizona.
