Do you hate staring at a blank page? Or perhaps you write way too much? Or maybe you want feedback on your newest work? Regardless of what you need, Orono High School has created a writing center for students who need help in composition in any subject, from history essays to short stories to research papers.
“The writing center is meant to be a great way for OHS students to get feedback on any kind of composition they are working on. It’s open for help with DBQs, FRQs, AP Writing and anything else they need!” Senior Maddie Dore and student coordinator of the OHS writing center said.
There are two ways to access the writing center. The first is in-person. Typically, if you want your work critiqued digitally, you can fill out this form and the writing center team will get back to you shortly with feedback. Otherwise, you can request to have an in-person meeting on the same form where you can talk to a mentor and actively talk about your writing.
So whether it be with writing DBQs in AP World or crafting some poetry, the Orono community is ready to support one another to become better writers.
