Orono High School’s homecoming football game resulted in a tough loss to Chaska High School. Orono was down 0-3 at the end of the first quarter. The Orono students were engaged in the game and had positive energy.
“I thought it was very boring, and we’re not enthusiastic. Although we had positive energy in the first half, I feel towards the end of the half we were losing energy,” Senior photographer Sydney Heckman said.
Towards the end of the half, the score was 10-3 and they were pulling away. Jack Kalman kicks for the only points of the game. These athletes enjoy the positive energy from the fans. However, when the fans and students do not create that positive atmosphere for them, they drain down.
“I feel like we were with them in the first half but then we’re having some problems and they ended up pulling away in the second half,” Senior kicker Jack Kalman said.
Orono fans want to see the most out of their football team. They play this coming Friday at Orono high school at 7:00 pm vs. Benilde St. Margerets.
