The purpose of this broadcast is to inform students and parents at OHS the positive role the journalism program has on the community. Over the past 20 years, the journalism program has won countless awards for the high quality work students have produced. In addition to this, students have immense resources to help advance their media literacy.

It is important that the community understands the crucial role credible news organizations have, especially on isolated communities like Orono Minnesota. The journalism directors, Kyle Herring and Sarah Cole have educated students on their roles to produce effective content.
