Fundraising has started for the 4th Annual St. Jude Teen Gala. Orono High School seniors Lizzie Brick, Paige Gill, and Luke Fischer worked hand and hand with the merchandise store Evereve in order to promote St. Jude as well as fundraise for the upcoming event that will take place on January 7th, 2018.
The three seniors wanted to collaborate with a company in order to do a promotional discount for the store and give an amount of the proceeds from the promotion to St. Jude to be
donated. The seniors found Evereve, a clothing store located in downtown Wayzata to work with.
Evereve agreed to do 15% off an entire purchase as well as donate 15% of each transaction to St. Jude. Brick was ecstatic about the turn out of the event.
“I was very surprised by the amazing turnout,” said Brick, “The manager of the Wayzata Evereve wants to look into doing another fundraising event but nationally. I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
Evereve and the three seniors ended up raising a grand total of $482. All of the money fundraised was donated directly to St. Jude to reach the Gala’s goal of reaching $150,000 by January 7.
