Stranger Things: Season Two Out Oct. 27

The announcement was made on Aug. 31, 2016 that a new season of the popular Netflix show, Stranger Things, would be released. Fans have been impatient ever since and the long awaited release, Oct. 27, is almost here.

Posters for the season have been posted on twitter by the show’s page along with trailers that have raised some questions. The posters were posted with the captions “We’re going back to Hawkins, A place where the curiosity door never closes, A place where new adventures await us, And it’s only getting stranger.”

The new season also brings new cast members along with all the old ones. The new cast members include: Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery, Will Chase, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and Linnea Berthelsen.

The titles of the season two episodes are: “MadMax, The Boy Who Came Back To Life, The Pumpkin Patch, The Palace, The Storm, The Pollywog, The Secret Cabin, The Brain, and The Lost Brother,” according to NME.com

Season two will take place a year after season one in 1984. The first episode should get everyone excited because it takes place on Halloween, and the trailers show the Demogorgon’s wrath twenty times greater, the gang still on their bikes, and Eleven’s much anticipated return.

Nikki Praus, Opinions Editor
Hi! I’m Nikki Praus and I’m a junior working with The Spartan Speaks as an opinions editor. This is my first year working with the newspaper but I’ve really tried to be as  involved with Spartan Speaks as I can. I love taking pictures at games and what not in addition to writing the articles. I think journalism is a great way to become more involved in your school and to grow in your writing. I’ve learned how important it is to be an informed student and I think being involved with journalism has helped me be more aware of the world around me. I love journalism and yearbook classes but I also enjoy all the clubs Orono offers. I’m in Poetry Club, Rubik's Cube Club, Ping Pong Club, and I also play lacrosse. Trying new things is important to me and going on mission trips during the past couple summers holds some of my best memories. When I can’t be that adventurous I also work part time at Ben and Jerry’s scooping ice cream in good ol downtown Wayzata.
