With so many options for music streaming available today, some may struggle with choosing the one that will fit them best. The main competitors are Spotify, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, Google Play Music, Pandora and Amazon Music.
Spotify, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, Google Play Music and Pandora all offer a free option that limits the amount of skips per day and is not ad free. This can be disruptive to those trying to get their jam on, so some may choose a to upgrade to a paid option that in addition to unlimited skips and no ads, allows users to download music for offline listening. This option can also help to lower cell phone data use.
Most of the services are around the same price, $10 per month. However, Amazon Music (not unlimited) and Pandora Plus are two less expensive versions. All of these services provide a family plan for an additional price per month.
Pandora has updated its older Pandora One version to its new Pandora Plus version which offers more skips and no ads. iHeartRadio came out with an All Access version in addition to its Plus version that includes similar features to keep up with its competitors. Amazon Music is the odd service out as it is included with an Amazon Prime membership, but it is still limited unless you pay an added fee per month to get Amazon Music Unlimited.
