Chocolate Chip Cookies: The Only Cookie Worth Making this Holiday Season

During the holiday season, people go crazy making all different kinds of cookies. The hours spent making a plethora of different cookies is absurd.

Even though there is a wide variety of cookies being made during the holiday season, one cookie still manages to stand out. The superior cookie. The Chocolate Chip Cookie. This classic has many qualities that make it the greatest creation known to mankind.

What makes this cookie stand out it’s delicate shape or its colorfulness but a nice soft gooey delicious taste. There is nothing that compares.

“They are so much better than any other cookie. I was eating a Rosette and I almost choked to death on the excessive powdered sugar,” Breck junior Louis Weiner said.

Chocolate chip cookies avoid all the health risks that some of these fancy holiday cookies pose. The wreath cookies contain small sugary balls that are a choking hazard. Other cookies, like rosettes are thickly coated in powdered sugar and can easily cause a choking fit.

“Those fancy holiday cookies just are not as filling as a good quality chocolate chip cookie,” Minnetonka senior Sergi Piguillem said.

A good cookie must have a few essential qualities: good taste and it must be filling. A lot of holiday cookies are lacking both of these.

Cookies such as Rosettes take hours to make. Dipping each cookie in oil to fry it and then prying it off the iron takes quite some time. Chocolate chip cookies require none of this nonsense. Just roll the dough in a ball and plop it on the cookie tray. Toss it in the oven and voila. Heaven.
So this holiday season, instead of going crazy making a wide variety of cookies that take hours to make, keep it simple and go with the timeless classic. The delectable chocolate chip cookie.
