Shelby Earley, Staff Reporter
Shelby Earley, a staff reporter for The Spartan Speaks, is hardworking and driven with a great sense of humor.
She has been the captain of the Orono girl’s basketball and softball teams for both junior and senior year.
Currently a senior, Shelby has been involved with journalism for 3 years. When she is not writing for the paper, she loves watching Criminal Minds on Netflix, eating at Punch Pizza, spending time with her friends and family, and play sports.
She plans to attend University of Nebraska next fall and major in environmental sciences. She hopes to one day open a zoo, which she “has dreamed of owning a zoo from a very young age” said Earley.
If Shelby were to win the lottery, she would “travel the world and visit different orphanages and donating money to them.” When it comes to her taste in music, she has one genre she despises.
“I listen to everything and anything but country. I hate country with a burning passion,” said Earley. Her favorite place to vacation is Palm Springs California because “it’s fun, relaxing, and refreshing,” said Earley.
She is looking forward to graduating and attending college for the next four years.
