For the first time since 1995, the Orono girls gymnastics team qualified for the state competition. The last time the team competed at the state level, they received third place.

The 2014-15 stay qualifying team includes: Emory Landis,  Heather Alton, Jaci Bauman, Kylie Thedens, Maja Peterson and Nicole Albertson.

Individual qualifiers for the season are Emory Landis (first overall), Kylie Thedens (second overall) and Nicole Albertson (fourth overall). These gymnasts will compete both days of the state competition, with the team and in their individual events.

The state competition is on Fri. Feb. 20 and Sat. Feb. 21. The gymnasts begin competing at 11 A.M. each day.
