Top Ten Winter Date Ideas

1. Ice Skating

Ice skating has always been a winter date favorite. Even if you don’t know how to skate, lace up your boots and get out on the ice! Whether you’re both great skaters or not, you’ll have fun either way. Plus, it’s a great double-date option!

2. Sleigh Ride

Going on a sleigh ride is more of a romantic date option, but fun nonetheless! Make sure to bundle up and enjoy the scenery while you have a couple of horses pull you around a park! It’s fun when you don’t have the energy to do much but still want to be outside.

3. Build a Snow Fort or Make a Snowman

Nobody is ever too old to go outside and make a snowman or build a snow fort. It doesn’t require anything to do except for some warm clothes and powdery snow!

4. Sledding or Snow Tubing

Who doesn’t love the thrill of sledding down a hill while sitting on the top of a garbage can? Go to one of the local ski slopes or find a small hill in your neighborhood and just have fun!

5. Bake Treats

Baking some holiday cookies or other sweets is a great way to have some fun with your significant other and get into the holiday spirit. Not only do you end up with some great treats to eat, but the process of making them is fun too!

6. Gingerbread House

Like baking, assembling and decorating a gingerbread house is another great way to get into the holiday spirit, just try to not eat the candy before you build the house!

7. Go for a Walk

It seems like couples always feel pressured to come up with fun activities to do when going on dates, but really, sometimes just going for a short walk can be equally as fun. Just layer up and go enjoy the winter scenery!

8. Movie Night

Sometimes its nice to just stay out of the cold and go to a movie that the two of you have been dying to see. Or, if you don’t feel like spending that much money, it’s also always nice to just sit inside, start a fire, make some hot chocolate and watch a movie at home.

9. Bowling

If you aren’t up for watching a movie but still don’t feel like going out into the cold, bowling is always another fun activity you and your date can try. It’s also a great double-date opportunity if you want to bring some friends!

10. Snowmobiling

It’s not something that everyone has the means of doing, but snowmobiling is always a fun winter date option. If you have snowmobiles, spend some time cruising around on them and enjoying scenery. If you don’t own snowmobiles, see if you could call up a friend that does and use theirs!
