Thora Bjornsdottir, OHS grad, will be honored by Cornell University as a Merrill Presidential Scholar.  Bjornsdottir will receive this recgonition because oh her scholastic achievement, leadership ability and demonstrated potential for contributing to society.

Gretchen Ospina, German teacher at the high school, was invited to Cornell University because of her overall contribution to  Bjornsdottir’s education.  Ospina was one of seven teachers selected by the deans of the undergraduate colleges at Cornell.
